Last Unicorn Opening

A cel from the opening of the The Last Unicorn! I have always remembered this brief sequence from the beginning of the movie. It directly references the Unicorn Tapestries that are in the MET cloisters in New York. The shot of the tapestries that these cels dissolve into fascinated me as a child, & was something I sought out later in life. I learned later what they were & it sparked a delve into some of the mythology of Christ in Christianity, which is absolutely fascinating. Given this, the cels from this sequence hold a special place in my heart & I have been especially driven to acquire one once I realized they even still existed. I have always wanted to see the Unicorn Tapestries in person, but haven't managed it yet. Someday!
