The Utena Movie! As a standalone movie, it really doesn’t make a lot of sense. It’s so laden with metaphors that it can be difficult to make sense of even for people who love the series. Regardless, the visuals in this movie are absolutely stunning & unforgettable imo. Such lovely character revamps and so many rose petals!

Duelist Uniform Akio

Movie Akio in his Duelist uniform! Wow! I loved his character design in the movie (okay, maybe not the red akio pants, but the suit is a definite plus). I seem to remember people bashing the Japanese voice actor for the movie, but I thought he was great.
