The Utena Movie! As a standalone movie, it really doesn’t make a lot of sense. It’s so laden with metaphors that it can be difficult to make sense of even for people who love the series. Regardless, the visuals in this movie are absolutely stunning & unforgettable imo. Such lovely character revamps and so many rose petals!

Anthy panics, rushing Utena to snatch away a ring that Utena has just shown her. Utena recoils in shock, grabbing Anthy's hand in the process...

I love this sequence! I especially like the movement here and Utena's surprise at Anthy suddenly snatching for the ring. Plus, Anthy's bottom is really sex-ay here. Rawr!
