I never thought that I would be much of a sketch collector. After all, Utena actually has cels! However, the more that I have collected, the more I am able to see the whole animation process & the work that went into making cels & the anime. It’s pretty fascinating!

These are various sketches from the TV show for which I do not have corresponding cels. I tried to place these in the order that they appear in the series.

Wakaba Layout - Ep12

NIce layout of Wakaba angry with Utena. She's watching Utena just sit there while Touga makes a pass at her. She can't stand for Utena to look so passive, considering Utena's normal personality.

It's hard to watch as a viewer & Wakaba certainly isn't putting up with it.
