I never thought that I would be much of a sketch collector. After all, Utena actually has cels! However, the more that I have collected, the more I am able to see the whole animation process & the work that went into making cels & the anime. It’s pretty fascinating!

These are various sketches from the TV show for which I do not have corresponding cels. I tried to place these in the order that they appear in the series.

It's Juri dueling with the rose on! Love this image of her, she's derisively deflecting one of Utena's thrusts & coming back around for another strike.

I actually purchased the A1 sketch separately from the other two about 2 years apart, which is why there are two suppliers. Kinda interesting the way acquisitions happen in this hobby!
