Who can not love Utena from the series? Our pink-haired heroine ends up going through so much and learning bounds about her herself in the process.

Utena with Sword - Ep38
Utena: " I never played at dueling!" End of the World: "No. You know only play dueling. But if you do not sheathe your sword, you will learn what real combat is like." Utena turns to face the viewer after the first clash of swords in the duel called Revolution! I LOVE the angle on this cel - the airbrushed sword in the foreground is very striking & Utena looks very much the part of the prince. As well she ought to at this stage, as this is in the middle of her duel with End of the World. It would be nice to see the rose, but I think the unusual angle, nice shading, and pivotal scene more than make up for that little technicality.
